Season 3 of the “9-1-1” spinoff series “9-1-1: Lone Star” is moving from Sky to Disney+ in the United Kingdom.
The first two seasons of the drama aired on Sky Witness in the UK. According to Geek Town, Sky no longer has the rights to “9-1-1: Lone Star” and the new season will premiere on Disney+ UK instead. A release date for Season 3 has not been announced yet.
“9-1-1: Lone Star” explores the high-pressure experiences of first responders, including police officers, firefighters and dispatchers, who are thrust into the most frightening, shocking and heart-stopping situations in Texas. These emergency responders must try to balance saving those who are at their most vulnerable with solving the problems in their own lives. The show draws from real-life, high-pressure experiences of first responders who regularly face heart-stopping situations that are often unpredictable, intense and uplifting at the same time.
The series stars Rob Lowe (‘The West Wing’), Brian Michael Smith (‘The L Word: Generation Q’), Ronen Rubinstein (‘Orange Is The New Black’), Sierra McClain (‘Empire’), Julian Works, Jim Parrack (‘True Blood’) and Gina Torres (‘Suits’). The series is created by Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk and Tim Minear. It is produced by 20th Television in association with Ryan Murphy Television and Brad Falchuk Teley-Vision.
Season 1 of “9-1-1: Lone Star” is available to stream now on Disney+ in the United Kingdom.
