Disney+ has moved the television series Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and Agent Carter to the “Marvel Legacy Movies and Series” collection in Brazil and other international markets. These shows now sit alongside other officially Marvel non-canon titles like Fox’s Fantastic Four, X-Men, and Hulu’s Runaways.
As The Direct points out, This evidence seems to imply that the ABC-produced Marvel shows listed under “Marvel Legacy,” such as Agents of SHIELD, Agent Carter, and Runaways, may not be considered to be MCU canon by Disney+.
Subscribers in the United States won’t find these changes on Disney+ yet because all seven seasons of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. are still streaming on Netflix. Both seasons of Agent Carter are available on the streaming service however the series does not appear under the Marvel Cinematic Universe Collection.
Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is an action-adventure series based on the Marvel Comics secret-intelligence organization headed by Agent Phil Coulson. It stars Clark Gregg as Agent Phil Coulson, Ming-Na Wen as Agent Melinda May, Chloe Bennet as Daisy Johnson, Elizabeth Henstridge as Agent Jemma Simmons, Iain De Caestecker as Agent Leopold Fitz, Henry Simmons as Director Alphonso “Mack” MacKenzie, Natalia Cordova-Buckley as Elena “Yo-Yo” Rodriguez and Jeff Ward as Deke Shaw. The show ran from 2013-2020.
