Filming is currently underway on Marvel’s new “Moon Knight” series in Budapest. Like all Marvel projects, plot details for the Disney+ series have been kept under wraps. We do know Oscar Isaac will play the titular hero, and Ethan Hawke, May Calamawy, and Dina Shihabi have all been cast in the series as well. Now, we might have some new insight on who else will be joining the cast. According to an actor profile on Independent Talent, Alexander Cobb (Indian Summers) now has “Moon Knight” listed as part of his acting credits. No other details were given or what role the actor will portray.
Cobb has starred in many projects including Indian Summers, Grace, Vera, and will be appearing in the upcoming 20th Century Studios film The King’s Man which is set to release in December.
“Moon Knight” is an action-adventure series that features a complex vigilante who suffers from a dissociative identity disorder. The multiple identities who live inside him are distinct characters who appear against a backdrop of Egyptian iconography.
Mohamed Diab and Indie horror filmmakers Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead have been tapped to direct. Jeremy Slater (Umbrella Academy) is the series showrunner and lead writer.
“Moon Knight” will consist of six episodes and is expected to premiere on Disney+ sometime in 2022.
