Anthony Mackie Confirms Marvel’s ‘Captain America: New World Order’ Filming Begins Soon

Marvel’s “Captain America: New World Order” will release in theaters on May 3, 2024, and Anthony Mackie has confirmed when filming on the project will begin.

In a recent interview with Yahoo Entertainment’s Kevin Polowy, Mackie revealed, “We start in about a month, my bad, it’s not January,” Mackie smiled. “We start in about a month, so we’re just kicking it off. Everybody’s getting squared away, and we’re ready to go!”

In the upcoming film, Anthony Mackie, Danny Ramirez, and Carl Lumbly will return to their roles from the Disney+ Original series “The Falcon and The Winter Soldier.”  Additionally, Tim Blake Nelson joins the cast as Dr. Samuel Sterns, reprising his role from 2008’s The Incredible Hulk.  Recently, it was also confirmed that Harrison Ford (Indiana Jones, Star Wars) will play General Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross in the film and Xosha Roquemore (Space Jam: A New Legacy) has reportedly been cast in a key role.

Julius Onah (The Cloverfield Paradox and Luce) is director of the project.  Kramer Morgenthau has been tapped as the director of photography.

According to a new rumor, Jessica Chastain (The Eyes of Tammy Faye) is reportedly being eyed to play the main villain in “Captain America: New World Order” however nothing has been confirmed.

According to The Cosmic CircusCaptain America: New World Order is using the production company Changeup Productions LLC. This is a change from previous Chris Evans-led Captain America films which used Vita Ray Productions.

Malcolm Spellman, head writer and show creator for The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, will return to write the script for Captain America 4 along with Dalan Musson.

“Captain America: New World Order” releases in theaters on May 3, 2024.
