“The Falcon And The Winter Soldier”, an upcoming Disney+ original series, was in the middle of filming until Covid-19 shut down productions across the globe.
The series is currently set to be released in August but with filming incomplete, there’s been plenty of speculation if the series would be delayed. There were even rumours that the series would be split into half-seasons to allow filming to continue at a later date.
Anthony Mackie, who stars in the upcoming show, recently shared some news on the “Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon”:
“I’m happy to say we are not cancelled. We are on hold. We’re going back hopefully sometime soon and finish it up, we have very little stuff to do. I’m very happy with it. We have a little more to go back to do. But everybody rest assured it will come out.”
We still don’t know if the series will be delayed but it does appear that filming will resume shortly. August is approaching quickly so I would imagine filming will need to resume very soon to make that August release date. No further details have been announced yet but stay tuned!
