Disney has released a teaser trailer for the Korean Original series “Arthdal Chronicles: The Sword of Aramun” which will premiere with three episodes on Disney+ in many countries including Canada, Australia and Korea on September 16, 2023. New episodes will release every Friday and Saturday after the premiere.
The series released its first run of 18 episodes back in June of 2019 on Netflix.
Season 2 picks up roughly a decade later and continues Arthdal Chronicles‘ tried and trusted method of mixing political intrigue with supernatural mysticism, a winning blend that’s proven to be fertile ground for the fantastical on-demand originals that actually manage to last beyond their opening stretch.
The cast includes Jang Donggun (A Gentleman’s Destiny, V.I.P.), Lee Joongi (Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo, The King and the Clown), Shin Saekyeong (Run On, The Girl Who Sees Scents) and Kim Okvin (Thirst, The Villainess). Season two is directed by Kim Kwangsik (The Great Battle) and is written by season one writers Kim Younghyun and Park Sangyean.
