When the first season of “The Mandalorian” was released back in November 2019, “The Child, affectionally known as “Baby Yoda”, was kept a secret prior to the season debuting.
This was a fantastic creative decision by Jon Favreau but when “Baby Yoda” because an instant overnight success, there was a noticeable lack of merchandise available. This was on purpose to help avoid any leaks which can often happen when mass producing products.
As the “Baby Yoda” secret is, of course, out leading up to this holiday season; Disney are other retailers are pumping out an insane volume of merchandise.
