Big Sky Episode 12 Review ‘No Better Than Dogs’

We’re onto episode 12, and if you haven’t figured out by now, no one is safe in Big Sky as the shocks continue.

The Kleinsasser’s that we met in episode 11 return this week, and as we guessed last week, they’re on the wrong side of the law. Blake returns, and not all of the family are pleased to see him. Things come to quite a shocking end which results in a death that we didn’t see coming. The family seems to each be in it for themselves, only looking out for each other when convenient.

Cassie and Jenny are still very much in the picture, investigating Rosie’s assault. The closer they get to the truth, the more danger they end up in, as Rand has Jenny in his crosshairs.

I’m still very much on the fence over Mark; it’s hard to tell if he will end up being a good guy or a bad guy; he could go either way at this point in the series, to be honest. He seems a bit odd, but I think he could turn out alright.

Ronald is still playing house with Scarlet, which seems like a strange one to me, the way he has his feet under the table so quickly. Knowing that he has visited the graveyard on more than one occasion seems like the perfect opportunity to catch him, especially considering just how wanted he is. Still, hey, I’m sure the police know what they’re doing at this point.

I’m not sure that the second half of the season is living up to the first; things seem to have moved on from Ronald and Rick pretty quickly, especially with the introduction of the Kleinsasers, who haven’t really sold themselves to me just yet, without sounding too harsh they’re pretty boring.

A slow episode with little action; hoping things pick back up soon and we get to the good stuff we become used to doing at the beginning of the series. 2.5 out of 5 stars.
