Boba Fett Rumored To Appear in ‘The Mandalorian’ Season 4

“The Mandalorian” series creator Jon Favreau confirmed earlier this year that a fourth season of the show was in development and that the script had already been written.  Production on the fourth season was set to begin in September however Deadline reported last month that filming could possibly be delayed due to the writers strike.  Additionally, the latest issue of Production Weekly, reports that Season 4 of “The Mandalorian” will begin production in November.

While not much is known about the fourth season, it seems a familiar face could be returning to the series.  In a recent YouTube post from MakingStarWars.net, it was mentioned that Boba Fett, played by Temuera Morrison, will appear in the fourth season and that a rumored second season for The Book of Boba Fett looks doubtful.  You can read the comment from MakingStarWars below:

I had touched base with sources [regarding the November rumor] and they hadn’t got back to me, but when they did I’d made up my mind that asking that was a bad idea. So I just asked them about what was going on and it’s a whole lot of nothing basically is what’s going on. But I did get more hits on the Boba Fett thing. So I think Boba Fett is in for Mando four and I don’t think there’s another show, and nobody knows what the other codenames that have been floating around are – specifically Ghost Track 17, but I think that was just a placeholder for something that was going to happen, but didn’t happen and they just keep it around incase something else does happen and they’ll take that name.” – MakingStarWars

As always, since nothing has been confirmed by Lucasfilm or Disney, we will treat this as a rumor for now.

The Book of Boba Fett launched on Disney+ in December 2021 and was a spinoff of “The Mandalorian” between Seasons 2 and 3.  There were many rumors that The Book of Boba Fett would receive a second season and would be announced at Star Wars Celebration earlier this year however that was not the case.

The series is a thrilling Star Wars adventure teased in a surprise end-credit sequence following the Season 2 finale of “The Mandalorian,” which finds legendary bounty hunter Boba Fett and mercenary Fennec Shand navigating the galaxy’s underworld when they return to the sands of Tatooine to stake their claim on the territory once ruled by Jabba the Hutt and his crime syndicate.

The show stars Temuera Morrison and Ming-Na Wen. Jon Favreau, Dave Filoni, Robert Rodriguez, Kathleen Kennedy and Colin Wilson are the executive producers. Karen Gilchrist and Carrie Beck serve as co-executive producers, with John Bartnicki producing and John Hampian as co-producer.

All 7 episodes of The Book of Boba Fett are available to stream now on Disney+ along with Seasons 1-3 of “The Mandalorian.”
