Cara Delevingne has joined the cast of “Only Murders in the Building” Season 2. Delevingne will have a recurring role as Alice, ”a sophisticated art world insider who becomes enmeshed in the mystery.“
Delevingne first appeared in 2012’s Anna Karenina. Other credits include Margo, Suicide Squad and Amazon Prime Video’s Carnival Row. She can be seen next in Hulu and BBC’s docuseries Planet Sex.
“Only Murders in the Building” streams on Hulu in the U.S., Star+ in Latin America, and on Disney+ in all other territories, including Europe. The series has proven to be incredibly popular with audiences and critics alike and became Hulu’s most-watched comedy premiere.
The series follows three strangers (Steve Martin, Martin Short and Selena Gomez) who share an obsession with true crime and suddenly find themselves wrapped up in one. When a grisly death occurs inside their exclusive Upper West Side apartment building, the trio suspects murder and employs their precise knowledge of true crime to investigate the truth. As they record a podcast of their own to document the case, the three unravel the complex secrets of the building which stretch back years. Perhaps even more explosive are the lies they tell one another. Soon, the endangered trio comes to realize a killer might be living amongst them as they race to decipher the mounting clues before it’s too late.
According to Co-Creator John Hoffman, season 2 will begin filming by the end of 2021, which means season 2 could arrive as early as mid-2022.
“Only Murders in the Building” hails from co-creators and writers Steve Martin and John Hoffman (Grace & Frankie, Looking). Martin and Hoffman executive produce along with Martin Short, Selena Gomez, Jamie Babbitt, This Is Us creator Dan Fogelman and Jess Rosenthal.
