Cast Revealed For Disney+ Korean Original Series ‘Unmasked’

Earlier this month, Disney+ revealed its expanded slate of Korean Originals for 2024, which included thriller Blood Free, mystery series Unmasked, actioner The Tyrant, crime drama Gangnam B-Side, and Season 3 of reality show The Zone: Survival Mission.

The cast has now been revealed for the comedy series “Unmasked” which is scheduled to be released on Disney+ in the second half of 2024.

Set in modern-day Seoul, “Unmasked” follows a crack team of investigative journalists who are fighting for their careers after broadcasting a controversial story. With time running out, the team are given an impossible task if they want to save their jobs – solve a twenty-year-old cold case involving a famous actor who disappeared without a trace.

“Unmasked” Cast

According to ComingSoon, Kim Hye-Soo, Jung Sung-Il, and Joo Jung-Hyuk have been confirmed as the lead members of the drama.

Kim Hye-Soo is playing Oh So-Ryong’s role. She is a passionate investigative reporter and a great team leader who knows how to pursue difficult cases, even those that the prosecution and police cannot solve. The South Korean actress has quite a reputation in the industry, and her fans are eagerly waiting to see her in this new role.

Jung Sung-Il. He will be playing Han Do’s character in Unmasked, who is the producing director. However, he has no social skills.

Joo Jong-Hyuk, is playing Kang Ki-Ho’s role. He is the youngest producing director (PD) in the team. The audience can’t wait to see these three together as a team working against all the controversial stories.

A Disney+ release date for “Unmasked” has not been announced yet.
