According to Murphy’s Multiverse, casting has resumed on the upcoming Disney+ series “Ms Marvel”, after shutting down production due to the global pandemic. The studio is currently looking for the female lead of Kamala Khan, aka Ms Marvel. The article states that casting director Sarah Halley Finn has been recalling actresses back in to continue the auditioning process.
Murphy’s Multiverse also speculates the series could begin filming in Atlanta, Georgia before the end of Summer.
Little is known about the upcoming Marvel series, but it is being written by Hulu’s Four Weddings and a Funeral writer, Brisha K. Ali, who will also be the showrunner.
If you are unfamiliar with the Ms Marvel character, Kamala Khan is Marvel’s first Muslim superhero. She has a polymorphous super power, which means she has the ability to stretch and change her shape.
A premiere date on Disney+ has not been announced yet.
