Disney+ has many modern animated series that feature classic Walt Disney characters like Mickey Mouse, Goofy, and Donald Duck, and arriving this week is the latest, in which Disney dives into its back catalogue of established characters. “Chip ’N’ Dale: Park Life brings the two tiny troublemaking chipmunks back to the small screen for a new generation of viewers.
Twelve episodes make up the series, and we were given a viewing of the first two ahead of episode 1, arriving on Disney+ this Wednesday, 28th July. Each episode comprises three 7 minute stories, each of which is stand-alone, meaning you can dip in and out of them as they are not connected. This format makes the series perfect for keeping kids entertained.
The series sees Chip & Dale living in a park, which gives plenty of opportunities to introduce new and familiar characters. Animation is handled by French studio, Xilam Animation which provides the show with a modern and colourful art style, making it feel up to date and in line with other Disney+ animated series’ like “The Wonderful World of Mickey Mouse”.
The show is packed full of humour, and although aimed at a younger audience, there is still plenty of traditional Disney charm to keep adults entertained. Naturally, the content of the episodes has a modern feel to it, with Chip being obsessed with online shopping as an example.
“Chip ’N’ Dale: Park Life” is a modern take on classic Disney characters, bringing them forward for a new generation. It is bright, squeaky and full of fun for younger children to fall in love with. It arrives on Disney+ just in time for the school holidays, and I have a feeling that if you’re a parent, your little ones are going to be asking for their new favourite chipmunks over and over again this summer holiday.
Episode 1 of “Chip ’N’ Dale: Park Life” arrives on Disney+ on Wednesday 28th July. New episodes will drop each following Wednesday.
