Colin Woodell Reportedly Joins Marvel’s ‘Daredevil: Born Again’ Disney+ Series

The Flight Attendant star, Colin Woodell has reportedly joined Marvel’s upcoming “Daredevil: Born Again” Disney+ series.

The news comes from Insider Daniel RPK who has shared Colin Woodell (The Flight AttendantThe Purge) has joined the series as a yet unidentified villain.

Murphy’s Multiverse goes on to elaborate that “Woodell’s character looks to be set for just a portion of the 18-episode series but is also set to play a fairly significant role. Described as “intense and inscrutable”, it’s possible that Woodell could be portraying Muse, a serial killer who uses his victims’ blood and body parts to create art. The character was first introduced in Charles Soule’s run on Daredevil, which is believed to be one source of inspiration for Daredevil: Born Again.”

As always, since nothing has been confirmed by Marvel or Disney, we will treat this as a rumor for now.

Last July, during the Marvel Studios panel at San Diego Comic-Con, Kevin Feige, President of Marvel Studios, announced that “Daredevil: Born Again” an Original series starring Charlie Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio, would be coming to Disney+ in Spring 2024.

Cox originally played Matt Murdock/Daredevil in the Marvel series on Netflix from 2015 to 2018.  He also appeared in the spinoff series, The Defenders. Most recently his character had a cameo appearance in Marvel’s Spider-Man: No Way Home and She-Hulk Attorney at Law.

Vincent D’Onofrio who played Wilson Fisk in the original “Daredevil” series just recently reprised his role as Kingpin, in the Disney+ series Hawkeye.  The two will also reprise their roles in the upcoming Echo series on Disney+ which is set to premiere in Summer of 2023.

Sopranos prequel actor Michael Gandolfini (The Many Saints of Newark) recently joined the cast of Born Again in a major role.

The series will be written and executive produced by Covert Affairs creators Matt Corman and Chris Ord.

According to The Illuminerdi, Born Again will begin filming in New York City in February next year and continue through December.  It was previously revealed that the project will be filming under the working title “Out the Kitchen” under the production company Blind Faith Productions LLC.

Season 1 will consist of 18 episodes and will premiere on Disney+ in Spring 2024.
