Dan Romer (Luca, Station Eleven, Beasts of the Southern Wild, Beasts of No Nation, Maniac) has teamed up with Osei Essed (How to Survive a Pandemic, Katrina Babies, Finders Keepers) to score the new psychological drama “Saint X” which begins streaming on Hulu in the United States and on Disney+ in Canada on Wednesday, April 26, 2023. Three episodes will premiere on April 26th with new episodes released weekly.
The series will begin streaming on Disney+ in the United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia and New Zealand on Wednesday, June 7, 2023, All episodes will drop at once.
The eight-episode series is adapted from Alexis Schaitkin’s novel.
The psychological drama “Saint X,” which is told via multiple timelines and perspectives, explores and upends the girl-gone-missing genre. It’s a show about how a young woman’s mysterious death during an idyllic Caribbean vacation creates a traumatic ripple effect that eventually pulls her surviving sister into a dangerous pursuit of the truth.
The series stars Alycia Debnam-Carey, Josh Bonzie, West Duchovny, Jayden Elijah, Bre Francis, Kenlee Anaya Townsend, Betsy Brandt and Michael Park. Leila Gerstein (“The Handmaid’s Tale”) wrote and executive produced with Dee Rees (“MUDBOUND”) directing and executive producing the eight-episode series. Stephen Williams (“Watchmen”) also serves as executive producer with David Levine and Zack Hayden for Anonymous Content, Aubrey Graham aka Drake, Adel “Future” Nur, and Jason Shrier for DreamCrew Entertainment (“Euphoria”), Alexis Schaitkin, and Steve Pearlman (“Once Upon a Time”). “Saint X” is a production of ABC Signature.
