‘Daredevil’ Disney+ Series Confirmed To Be In The Works

Earlier this year, there were several rumors indicating that a new “Daredevil” series was in the works and now Variety has confirmed that a series is indeed moving forward at Disney+.

Ever since Charlie Cox made his return as Matthew Murdock/Daredevil in Spider-Man: No Way Home, fans have been eagerly anticipating the character to return in other Marvel projects or for a revival of the original series.

Cox recently confirmed he will be reprising his role of Matt Murdock in a future MCU project however no additional details were given beyond that.  Cox originally played Daredevil in the Marvel series on Netflix from 2015 to 2018.  He also appeared in the spinoff series, The Defenders. Most recently his character had a cameo appearance in Marvel’s Spider-Man: No Way Home.

Vincent D’Onofrio who played Wilson Fisk in the original “Daredevil” series just recently reprised his role as Kingpin, in the Disney+ series Hawkeye.

There have also been fan theories of Daredevil returning in upcoming Marvel Disney+ series including She-Hulk and Echo.

According to Variety, Matt Corman and Chris Ord are attached to write and executive produce.

Corman and Ord co-created the USA Network series Covert Affairs starring Piper Perabo and Christopher Gorham. The show aired for five seasons between 2010 and 2014.  Most recently they worked as executive producers and co-showrunners on the NBC drama shows The Enemy Within and The Brave as well as The CW series Containment.
