According to a new report from Bespin Bulletin, Mudtroopers and Death Troopers are set to appear in Disney+’s highly anticipated Original series “Star Wars: Andor.” The Death Troopers will reportedly appear in a sequence alongside white officers, but there’s been no word if we might see the return of Ben Mendelsohn‘s Director Krennic.
As always, since nothing has been confirmed by Lucasfilm or Disney, we will treat this as a rumor for now.
“Andor” follows the adventures of Rebel spy Cassian Andor during the formative years of the Rebellion five years prior to the events of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. The rousing spy thriller will explore tales filled with espionage and daring missions to restore hope to a galaxy in the grip of a ruthless Empire.
Previously announced cast includes Diego Luna, Adria Arjona, Denise Gough, Genevieve O’Reilly, Stellan Skarsgard, Fiona Shaw, Kyle Soller and Robert Emms. Forest Whitaker will also reportedly reprise his role as Saw Gerrera and Ben Mendelsohn is rumored to return as Orson Krennic.
Toby Haynes will direct the first three episodes of “Andor.” Writers include Stephen Schiff and Tony Gilroy.
American composer Nicholas Britell has been tapped to score the upcoming “Andor” series.
A Disney+ release date for “Star Wars: Andor” has not been announced yet, however it is expected to launch sometime late summer.
