Disney announced in December that the popular TV series ‘Dinosaurs’ will be coming to Disney+ in United States, Canada, Australia and New Zealand on Friday, January 29, 2021.
In case you aren’t familiar, “Dinosaurs” follows the life of a family of dinosaurs who are living in the modern-day world. The show aired on ABC from 1991-1994 for 65 episodes.
We’ve received many questions, especially in our Facebook Group, asking if ‘Dinosaurs’ will be coming to Disney+ in the United Kingdom. Unfortunately, as it stands, ‘Dinosaurs’ isn’t scheduled to arrive on Disney+ in January.
Disney revealed the full UK line-up for January which didn’t include ‘Dinosaurs’. It’s definitely unusual to see a series come to so many regions and skip the UK, but with each country having different licensing agreements, it’s not totally out of the ordinary.
Disney and the internet at large needs to do a better job at managing subscriber expectations. Disney has been promoting that ‘Dinosaurs’ is “coming soon”, which is of course accurate for some subscribers. Disney and large publications need to clearly explain when a title is specific to a particular region.
Disney hasn’t announced if or when ‘Dinosaurs’ will be coming to Disney+ in the UK. We wouldn’t be too surprised to see it arrive in February or March, but that is purely speculation. We’ll keep you updated!
Update – Dinosaurs is coming to Disney+ on April 09, 2021.
They need to give us TaleSpin and Bonkers while we’re at it… available virtually everywher else, but not in the UK
