Disney+ ‘Big Shot’ Series Halts Filming For a Day After Positive COVID-19 Test

Production on the upcoming Disney+ “Big Shot” series was halted yesterday after a staff member tested positive for COVID-19.  Deadline is reporting that the positive test was a result of regular screening, but that test was ultimately deemed to be false positive.  Production should restart again in the next day or two.

“Big Shot” is written and executive produced by David E. Kelley and Dean Lorey and stars John Stamos.

The 10-episode series follows a temperamental college basketball coach (Stamos) who gets fired from his job and must take a teaching and coaching job at an elite all-girls private high school.

Additional cast regulars nclude Yvette Nicole Brown (Lady and the Tramp) Richard Robicheaux (Boyhood, Oceans 8) as George, Sophia Mitri Schloss as Emma, Nell Verlaque as Louise, Tiana Le as Destiny, Monique Green as Olive, Tisha Custodio as Carolyn ‘Mouse’ Smith, and Cricket Wampler as Samantha ‘Giggles’.

“Big Shot” is currently filming in Los Angeles.
