‘Disney Family Singalong Volume 1’ Removed From Disney+

Disney Family Singalong Volume 1, which originally aired on ABC on April 16, 2020, has been removed from Disney+ in the United States and Canada.

The removal comes almost a year to the day of it’s original arrival on Disney+ so it seems likely it was licensed for 1 year only.

The removal came as a bit of a surprise since Disney+ does not announce which titles will be leaving every month as Netflix and Hulu does.

The program, which is hosted by Ryan Seacrest, featured musical performances of songs from select Disney films, performed by musicians from their respective homes, while viewers sing along by following Mickey, the bouncing ball (which is a gold version of the bouncing ball that was used in Disney’s Sing Along Songs). It also featured a reunion performance from the cast of the 2006 Disney Channel original film, High School Musical. The special also included public service announcements raising awareness for the efforts of Feeding America during the COVID-19 pandemic.

It’s likely that Disney Family Singalong Volume 2 will also be removed in the next few weeks.

Thanks to Drew on Twitter for tracking this removal.

  1. Tried watching with my son. He’s very disappointed both volumes have been removed. We are watching the holiday singalong now…in August…because he wants Disney singalong.
