Rachael Harris has joined the cast of Disney+’s “Goosebumps” series as a series regular. The live-action series is based on R.L. Stine‘s popular books.

The series follows a group of five high schoolers who unleash supernatural forces upon their town and must all work together – thanks to and in spite of their friendships, rivalries, and pasts with each other – in order to save it, learning much about their own parents’ teenage secrets in the process.
According to Variety, Harris will star as Nora. The character is described as “Jeff’s (Price) mother and an unassuming waitress at a local café that dabbles in sorcery.”
Harris joins previously announced cast members Ana Yi Puig, Miles McKenna, Will Price, Zack Morris and Isa Briones as well as Justin Long.
Neal H. Moritz and Pavun Shetty of Original Film, Conor Welch of Stoller Global Solutions, and Iole Lucchese and Caitlin Friedman of Scholastic Entertainment are also executive producing.
Sony Pictures Television Studios will produce.
Some of Harris’s credits include Friends, Frasier, Curb Your Enthusiasm, New Girl, Modern Family, and The Office.
“Goosebumps” is one of the best-selling book series of all time. More than 400 million English-language copies of the books are now in print, plus international editions in 32 languages. There are now more than 200 “Goosebumps” books in total.
This will mark the second live-action show on Disney+ based on R.L. Stine’s books. The streamer premiered the “Just Beyond” series last October which was adapted from Stine’s graphic novels.
The 10-episode series will begin filming in Vancouver this fall and winter.
