Disney+ ‘Hawkeye’ Series to Film at Tyler Perry Studios

Production for the new Disney+ “Hawkeye” series is set to begin soon and Murphy’s Multiverse is reporting that Marvel Studios will be using Tyler Perry’s Atlanta studios when it begins filming later this year.  The article states that pre-production on the series has already started and the studio is currently looking at a post-Thanksgiving start of filming.

The new six-episode limited series will reportedly tell the story of Kate Bishop’s arrival in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Jeremy Renner is confirmed to reprise his role as Clint Barton and actress Hailee Steinfeld has signed on to play Kate Bishop.  Jonathan Igla (Mad Men, Pitch) is writing the series.

Recently, it was announced that Rhys Thomas (Saturday Night Live) as well as directing duo Bert and Bertie (Troop Zero) are set to direct the upcoming Marvel series for the streaming service.

“Hawkeye” has yet to set a release date, however many are speculating the series could debut on Disney+ in the second half of 2021.
