Disney Launches Website for AvengerCon

The fictional convention AvengerCon appeared in the first episode of the Disney+ Original series “Ms. Marvel.”  The event took place at Camp Lehigh in New Jersey and was based on other real-life comic conventions featuring Avengers items, references, hidden details, merchandise, food, photo ops and more.  Many Marvel fans were wondering if AvengersCon could become a real-life event in the future.

Now, Disney has taken a step in that direction and created a new website for the AvengerCon event seen in the series.  The main page announces that this is “the only convention held where heroes are born” and describes the event as follows  “AvengerCon is a celebration of the Avengers and a historic gathering of the most dedicated enthusiasts of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes.”

Various activities are also displayed including

  • “GET A PHOTO WITH THE STAR-SPANGLED SINGERS! With the Star-Spangled Singers at your back, you’ll feel like you can do this all day!”
  • “A PAL TO ALL PLANETS: THE PETER QUILL STAR BOY STORY. Be the first to experience the epic retelling of Star Boy’s journey through the galaxy.
  • “CAPTAIN MARVEL: COSMIC AVENGER. Marvel at the cosmic powers of the one & only Carol Danvers in this special exhibit”

Marvel Studios’ “Ms. Marvel” is a new, original series that introduces Kamala Khan, a Muslim American teenager growing up in Jersey City. Yet Kamala feels like she doesn’t fit in at school and sometimes even at home—that is, until she gets superpowers like the heroes she’s always looked up to. Life gets better with superpowers, right?

“Ms. Marvel” stars Iman Vellani, Matt Lintz, Yasmeen Fletcher, Zenobia Shroff, Mohan Kapur, Saagar Shaikh, Rish Shah, Fawad Khan, Laurel Marsden, Arian Moayed, Adaku Ononogbo, Alysia Reiner, Azhar Usman, Laith Nakli, Nimra Bucha, Travina Springer, with Aramis Knight. Episodes 1 and 6 are directed by Adil & Bilall, Episodes 1 and 3 from Meera Menon, with 4 and 5 by Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy. Headwriter for the series is Bisha K. Ali, and executive producers include Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Brad Winderbaum, Adil & Bilall, Bisha K. Ali and Sana Amanat.
