‘Percy Jackson and the Olympians’ Released EARLY!

Disney has just announced on social media that the first two episodes of “Percy Jackson and the Olympians” are now available for streaming on Disney+.

The series was originally scheduled to release tomorrow, Wednesday, December 20, 2023. However, in a surprise move, Disney decided to advance the release to prime time hours in the U.S.

While it’s not entirely uncommon for some of Disney+’s biggest shows, like the upcoming “Echo” series, “Loki” Season 2, and “Star Wars: Ahsoka,” to be released at the new 6 PM PT time slot, Disney usually provides advance notice for such releases.

The first episode will also be released on Hulu in the US on Dec. 20th and be available to stream through January 31st.

New episodes will be released weekly, but it remains unclear whether they will continue to debut at 6 PM PT on Tuesday evenings, or revert to the originally announced schedule of 12 AM PT on Wednesdays.

“Percy Jackson and the Olympians” tells the fantastical story of a 12-year-old modern demigod, Percy Jackson, who’s just coming to terms with his newfound divine powers when the sky god, Zeus, accuses him of stealing his master lightning bolt. With help from his friends Grover and Annabeth, Percy must embark on an adventure of a lifetime to find it and restore order to Olympus.
