Disney Shuts Down Production on All Live-Action Projects

Amid the coronavirus pandemic, Disney is stopping production on its live-action movies. These movies include The Little Mermaid, Home Alone, The Last Duel, Nightmare Alley, Peter Pan & Wendy, Shang-Chi and The Legend of the Ten Rings and Shrunk.

This is all strictly a precautionary measure.

“While there have been no confirmed cases of COVID-19 on our productions, after considering the current environment and the best interests of our cast and crew, we have made the decision to pause production on some of our live-action films for a short time. We will continue to assess the situation and restart as soon as feasible,” said a Disney spokesperson.

Yesterday, Disney also announced that it would be delaying release dates for three of their upcoming film releases, Mulan, The New Mutants, and Antlers. It is unknown when these films will get released in the future.
