Disney is apparently working on a live-action remake of its 1942 animated feature “Bambi,” according to Variety.
The movie would use the same CGI that is used in “The Lion King 2019” and “The Jungle Book” to bring the animals to life.
Disney will be bring in screenwriters Geneva Robertson-Dworet (“Captain Marvel”) and Lindsey Beer (“Sierra Burgess Is a Loser”) with Chris and Paul Weitz’s Depth of Field producing.
It’s no surprise that Disney is working on a live-action “Bambi”. Disney has huge huge financial success with live-action remakes such as “The Lion King” and “The Jungle Book” just to name a few. Disney is currently working on “The Little Mermaid”, “Peter Pan”, “Pinocchio”, and “Mulan” is set to be released in just a few months.
At the moment, it’s unknown if this remake will come to theatres or direct to Disney+.
