FX is reportedly developing a new drama series titled “Drug Spies” from Noah Pink. Pink wrote the screenplay for Apple’s upcoming Tetris movie.
Deadline reports that the original series, which is inspired by true events, tells the story of two former CIA special forces soldiers who are dispatched by Big Pharma to take down the most prominent generic drug producer in the world.
Pink is writing the pilot, based on a story that he and Kirk Wallace Johnson came up with, and is set to serve as showrunner. Wallace Johnson is the author behind the books including The Feather Thief: Beauty, Obsession and the Natural History Heist of the Century and The Fisherman and the Dragon: Fear, Greed and a Fight for Justice on the Gulf Coast.
Kari Skogland (The Falcon and the Winter Soldier) is attached as director.
Sister, Stacey Snider and Jane Featherstone are producing in association with Oil & Cattle.
