Emma Corrin Reveals ‘Deadpool 3’ Role Is A Villain

Last February, it was announced that Emma Corrin had joined the cast of Disney/Marvel’s “Deadpool 3.”

Corrin is best known for starring in The Crown, Pennyworth and FX’s upcoming series A Murder at the End of the World. In a recent interview with Empire, while promoting the new series A Murder at the End of the World, Corrin reveals that she will play a villain in “Deadpool 3.”

Please note, Emma completed this interview before the strike and it is an interview about A MURDER AT THE END OF THE WORLD.

You can see what the actress said below:

“I feel really excited to play a villain. I haven’t done that, and it’s an itch I want to scratch.”

Corrin added:

“I’d heard about the project but, classic Marvel, they couldn’t tell me anything about it.  Absolutely nothing. Zilch. So I met [Shawn] being like, ‘I don’t know what this is about.’”

“Hands up, I’m not a Marvel person.  I’ve watched ‘Spider-Man’ and ‘Black Panther.’ I was like, ‘Look, you’re gonna have to debrief me into this.’ It’s such an intricate world. There’s so much to it, it’s an absolute mindfuck. All the language and the Easter eggs, and this person is related to that person who did this, and this person came back and this person’s dead… it’s amazing.  I really understand why it means as much as it does to so many people. It’s a phenomenon, and I feel really lucky to be part of it. Especially ‘Deadpool,’ because I love the fact that it’s self-aware, and critical of its own inner-workings.”

In “Deadpool 3,” a weary Wolverine finds himself recovering from his injuries when he comes across a loudmouth Deadpool who has time traveled forward to heal his greatest pal in the hopes to befriend the wild beast and to team up to take down a foe they both have in common.

Ryan Reynolds will star and Hugh Jackman will return as WolverineEmma Corrin (The Crown) and Matthew Macfadyen (Succession) have also joined the project.

Recently, it was announced that Morena Baccarin and Stefan Kapicic will also reprise their roles as Vanessa and Colossus, respectively, in the upcoming “Deadpool 3.”  It was also recently announced that Karan Soni and Leslie Uggams would return as Dopinder and Blind Al, respectively, from the first two films and Brianna Hildebrand and Shioli Kutsuna are set to return as Negasonic Teenage Warhead and Negasonic Teenage Warhead’s girlfriend Yukio.  Additionally, Rob Delaney will return to portray Peter who was first introduced in “Deadpool 2” and Jennifer Garner will return as Elektra from 2003’s Daredevil and the 2005 spinoff film Elektra.

Shawn Levy will direct.  Paul Wernick & Rhett Reese are returning to pen the script along with Zeb Wells. Wendy Molyneux and Lizzie Molyneux-Logelin wrote a previous draft.   Kevin Feige will produce along with Shawn Levy and Ryan Reynolds.

Recent rumors indicate Owen Wilson will reprise his “Loki” role as Time Variance Authority Agent Mobius in “Deadpool 3” however nothing has been confirmed.  Additional rumors suggest several X-Men characters will appear as well as well as Ben Affleck returning as Daredevil however those rumors have not been confirmed either.

“Deadpool 3” is scheduled to arrive in theaters on May 3, 2024, however, that could be pushed back due to suspension in filming.   “Deadpool,” and “Deadpool 2” are available to stream now on Disney+.
