May is here with new original series, movies, library titles and more debuting across all of Disney branded streaming services this month. Here’s everything we can’t wait to watch this month.
“Star Wars: The Bad Batch” Arrives on Disney+ May 4th
The series follows the elite and experimental clones of the Bad Batch (first introduced in “The Clone Wars”) as they find their way in a rapidly changing galaxy in the immediate aftermath of the Clone War. Members of Bad Batch—a unique squad of clones who vary genetically from their brothers in the Clone Army—each possess a singular exceptional skill that makes them extraordinarily effective soldiers and a formidable crew.

“High School Musical: The Musical: The Series” Season 2 Arrives on Disney+ May 14th
In season two, the East High Wildcats, who are preparing to perform “Beauty and the Beast” as their spring musical, face off against rival school North High to win a prestigious and cutthroat student theater competition. Wigs are snatched, loyalties are tested, and ballads are belted. The season also features brand-new solos written by Olivia Rodrigo and Joshua Bassett.
“Big Sky” Arrives on Disney+ Star (UK/IRELAND/AUSTRALIA/NEW ZEALAND) May 21st with new episodes each Friday.
Private detectives Cassie Dewell and Cody Hoyt join forces with his estranged wife and ex-cop, Jenny Hoyt, to search for two sisters who have been kidnapped by a truck driver on a remote highway in Montana. Based on the series of books by C.J. Box, the series stars Katheryn Winnick, Kylie Bunbury and Ryan Phillippe. This series continues to keep us on the edge of our seats with all its twist and turns.
Marvel’s “M.O.D.O.K.” Arrives on Hulu (US) and Disney+ Star (UK, IRELAND, AUSTRALIA, NEW ZEALAND, CANADA) May 21st
An egomaniacal super-villain struggles to maintain control of his evil organization after it is bought by a multinational tech company, all while juggling the needs of his demanding family. Check out the trailer here.
“Cruella” Arrives on Disney+ Premier Access May 28th
“Cruella” follows a young grifter named Estella, a clever and creative girl determined to make a name for herself with her designs. She befriends a pair of young thieves who appreciate her appetite for mischief, and together they are able to build a life for themselves on the London streets. One day, Estella’s flair for fashion catches the eye of the Baroness von Hellman, a fashion legend who is devastatingly chic and terrifyingly haute, played by two-time Oscar® winner Emma Thompson (“Howards End,” “Sense & Sensibility”). But their relationship sets in motion a course of events and revelations that will cause Estella to embrace her wicked side and become the raucous, fashionable and revenge-bent Cruella. “LAUNCHPAD” Arrives on Disney+ May 28th
The filmmakers, all from underrepresented backgrounds, were selected from more than 1100 U.S. applicants and were given an opportunity to share their perspectives and creative visions with audiences around the world. Each filmmaker was assigned executive mentors from the various divisions of the company, including Disney+, Lucasfilm, Marvel Studios, Pixar, Walt Disney Animation Studios and Walt Disney Studios Motion Picture Production.
The goal of Disney’s “LAUNCHPAD” is to diversify the types of stories that are being told and to give access to those who have historically not had it. Inspired by life’s journey, these first six short films for Disney+ are based on the theme, “Discover.”
