Disney has revealed that the debut of its live-action Snow White film, starring Rachel Zegler, will be postponed by a year, moving from March 22, 2024, to March 21, 2025.
Disney also released a first look at the movie, which you can see below:
The scheduling changes occur as the actors’ strike surpasses 100 days. Just a few days ago, Disney’s Bob Iger, along with other Hollywood top executives, informed SAG-AFTRA that they are nearing the point of deciding which movies to delay if an agreement can’t be reached between the two parties.
Rachel Zegler (West Side Story) will play Snow White in the adaptation and Gal Gadot (Wonder Woman franchise) will star as The Evil Queen. Tony-winning actor Andrew Burnap (The Inheritance) has been cast as the male lead and is said to play a new character in the movie, rather than The Prince or the Huntsman of past iterations. Martin Klebba (Pirates of the Caribbean) also confirmed that he will be playing Grumpy in the film
