First Look: What’s Coming to Disney+ in July (US)

Here is a first look at what’s coming to Disney+ in the United States in July.  Most notably is the premiere of “Black Widow” via Premier Access on the 9th, and the debut of Disney+ Originals: “Monsters at Work” on July 2nd, “Turner & Hooch” on July 16th, and “Chip ‘n’ Dale Park Life” on July 23rd.

We’ll update this list throughout the month when Disney announces new titles coming in July. Please note: This list isn’t complete and more will be announced next month.

FRIDAY, JULY 2, 2021

THE MYSTERIOUS BENEDICT SOCIETY – EPISODE 2

Four orphans, each possessing a unique skill, are summoned to a boarding school known as The Institute by an eccentric benefactor who wants them to stop a plot that could have consequences on a global level.

MONDAY, JULY 5, 2021

GORDON RAMSAY: UNCHARTED – ICELAND

Gordon Ramsay heads to the land of fire and ice during the Icelandic summer to learn secret cooking techniques utilizing the volcanic landscape. He fishes in a glacial river for wild salmon and cooks bread in geothermally heated soil before heading north to the sparsely populated Westfjords. After sampling fermented shark and diving for scallops in the freezing fjords, he joins Iceland’s first Michelin-rated chef, Ragnar Eiríksson, for a feast in a rainstorm.

LOKI – EPISODE 5

Marvel Studios’ “Loki” features the God of Mischief as he steps out of his brother’s shadow in a new series that takes place after the events of “Avengers: Endgame.” Tom Hiddleston returns as the title character, joined by Owen Wilson, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Sophia Di Martino, Wunmi Mosaku and Richard E. Grant. Kate Herron directs “Loki,” and Michael Waldron is head writer.

MONSTERS AT WORK – EPISODE 1 – PREMIERE – “WELCOME TO MONSTERS, INCORPORATED” & EPISODE 2 “MEET MIFT”

When Tylor Tuskmon arrives at Monsters Incorporated to begin his dream job as a Scarer, he discovers that scaring is out and laughter is in.  As a result he is temporarily reassigned to MIFT, the Monsters Incorporated Facilities Team.

When Tylor is initiated into MIFT during a bizarre ritual, he wants nothing more than to get away from his odd coworkers.  But when an emergency strikes Monsters, Inc., MIFT kicks into action and Tylor develops a hint of respect for the misfit team.

GORDON RAMSAY: UNCHARTED – SMOKY MOUNTAINS

Gordon Ramsay is pushed to his limits in the Smoky Mountains. In his quest to unearth the region’s culinary secrets, Gordon must rappel down a treacherous waterfall, kayak through raging rapids, and trek deep into the forest, attempting to find the most delicious ingredients in this magnificent mountain range. His culinary rival at the big cook is chef William Dissen, named one of America’s “Most Sustainable Chefs,” who knows these mountains, rivers and forests like the back of his hand.

TURNER & HOOCH – EPISODE 1 – PREMIER

When an ambitious, buttoned-up US Marshal inherits a big unruly dog, he soon realizes the dog he didn’t want may be the partner he needs. “Turner & Hooch” stars Josh Peck as Scott Turner, son of Detective Scott Turner portrayed by Tom Hanks in the 1989 film of the same name.

Gordon Ramsay discovers the culinary secrets of the country’s legendary Oaxaca region, where mole reigns supreme. In addition to learning to make the storied chocolate- and chili-infused sauce, Gordon must rappel down a cliff in search of delicious butter worms, harvest the honey sacs from burrowing ants and fend off angry wasps in search of their coveted larva. In his effort to measure up to acclaimed Mexico City chef Gabriela Cámara, he will also engage in the punishing physical process of harvesting agave plants to make mescal.

CHIP ‘N’ DALE: PARK LIFE – PREMIER

“Chip ‘N’ Dale: Park Life” follows two tiny troublemakers trying to live the good life in a big city park while having giant-sized, sky-high adventures. Disney’s beloved chipmunks, nervous worrier Chip and laid-back dreamer Dale, make the perfect odd couple. They’re best buddies and they drive each other nuts! In their perpetual pursuit of acorns, these ultimate underdogs are joined by Pluto, Butch and other iconic Disney characters as they face down bullies great and small. Combining classic-style cartoon comedy with contemporary storytelling, the 36 seven-minute episodes are directed by Jean Cayrol and produced by Marc du Pontavice at Xilam Animation.

STUNTMAN

From executive producers Dwayne Johnson (“Jungle Cruise”) and Dany Garcia from Seven Bucks Productions, and directed by Kurt Mattila, “Stuntman” chronicles the highs and lows of veteran Hollywood stuntman, Eddie Braun as he attempts what many argue is the most dangerous stunt in cinematic history. Following in the footsteps of his childhood idol, Evel Knievel, Braun reflects on having survived multiple car crashes, explosions, and death defying leaps over the course of his 30+ year career in film and television. “Monsters at Work” takes place the day after the Monsters, Incorporated power plant started harvesting the laughter of children to fuel the city of Monstropolis, thanks to Mike and Sulley’s discovery that laughter generates ten times more energy than screams. It follows the story of Tylor Tuskmon, an eager young monster who graduated top of his class at Monsters University and always dreamed of becoming a Scarer until he lands a job at Monsters, Incorporated, and discovers that scaring is out and laughter is in. After Tylor is temporarily reassigned to the Monsters, Inc. Facilities Team (MIFT), he must work alongside a misfit bunch of mechanics while setting his sights on becoming a Jokester.

JUNGLE CRUISE (PREMIER ACCESS)

Jungle Cruise is an adventure-filled, Amazon-jungle expedition starring Dwayne Johnson as the charismatic riverboat captain and Emily Blunt as a determined explorer on a research mission.

Also starring in the film are Edgar Ramirez, Jack Whitehall, with Jesse Plemons, and Paul Giamatti. Jaume Collet-Serra is the director and John Davis, John Fox, Dwayne Johnson, Hiram Garcia, Dany Garcia and Beau Flynn are the producers, with Doug Merrifield serving as executive producer.

TURNING THE TABLES WITH ROBIN ROBERTS – PREMIER

Four-episode series featuring intimate round table conversations with female celebrities from all walks of life.
