First Look: What’s Coming to Disney+ In September 2022 (UK/IRE)

Here is a first look at what’s coming to Disney+ in the United Kingdom in September 2022.

Highlights include Disney+ Day premieres on September 8th including the Disney+ Original movie “Pinocchio,” Disney/Pixar’s “Cars on the Road” series, the unscripted series from Brie Larson, “Growing Up,” National Geographic’s “Epic Adventures with Bertie Gregory” and the Disney+ Original series “Wedding Season.”

National Geographic’s “Super/Natural” launches on September 21st as well as “Andor” with the first three episodes, the Disney+ Original series “Star Wars: The Bad Batch” Season 2 begins streaming on September 28th as well as Season 2 of “The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers” and “Hocus Pocus 2” debuts on September 30th.

New episodes also continue to release for Marvel’s “She-Hulk: Attorney at Law,” and Season 3 of “High School Musical: The Musical: The Series” leading up to the finale on September 14th.

We’ll update this list as new titles are announced. Please note: This list isn’t complete and more titles will be announced in August.

She-Hulk: Attorney at Law – Season 1 – Episode 3

Directed by Kat Coiro (Episodes 1, 2, 3, 4, 8, 9) and Anu Valia (Episodes 5, 6, 7) with Jessica Gao as head writer, “She-Hulk: Attorney at Law” follows Jennifer Walters as she navigates the complicated life of a single, 30-something attorney who also happens to be a green 6-foot-7-inch superpowered hulk.

The nine-episode series welcomes a host of MCU vets, including Mark Ruffalo as Smart Hulk, Tim Roth as Emil Blonsky/the Abomination, and Benedict Wong as Wong. The cast also includes Ginger Gonzaga, Josh Segarra, Jameela Jamil, Jon Bass and Renée Elise Goldsberry.

Welcome to Wrexham – New Episode

In 2020, Rob and Ryan teamed up to purchase the 5th tier Red Dragons in the hopes of turning the club into an underdog story the whole world could root for. The worry? From Hollywood to Wales, from the pitch to the locker room, the front office to the pub, “Welcome to Wrexham” will track Rob and Ryan’s crash course in football club ownership and the inextricably connected fates of a team and a town counting on two actors to bring some serious hope and change to a community that could use it.

Academy Award® winner Robert Zemeckis directs this live action retelling of the beloved tale of a wooden puppet who embarks on a thrilling adventure to become a real boy. Tom Hanks stars as Geppetto, the wood-carver who builds and treats Pinocchio (Benjamin Evan Ainsworth) as if he were his own son. Joseph Gordon-Levitt is Jiminy Cricket, who serves as Pinocchio’s guide as well as his “conscience”; Academy Award® nominee Cynthia Erivo is the Blue Fairy; Keegan-Michael Key is “Honest” John; Academy Award® nominee Lorraine Bracco is Sofia the Seagull, a new character, and Luke Evans is The Coachman.  Also in the cast are Kyanne Lamaya as Fabiana (and her marionette Sabina), Giuseppe Battiston as Señor Stromboli and Lewin Lloyd as Lampwick.


Cars on the Road – Premiere

The Disney+ Original series follows Lightning McQueen (voice of Owen Wilson) and his best friend Mater (voice of Larry the Cable Guy) as they head east from Radiator Springs on a cross-country road trip to meet up with Mater’s sister. “The series is a romp across the country with Lightning McQueen and Mater,” says director Steve Purcell. “Like any real road trip, every day is a new mini-adventure with unexpected twists and turns.”


Wedding Season – Premiere

A genre-busting escapist romance about two people who shouldn’t be together, but who can’t stay away from one another. The series follows Katie, a picture-perfect bride who we meet on her wedding day surrounded by the dead bodies of her new husband and every member of his family.


Mike – Episodes 1-6

From creator/screenwriter Steven Rogers and the team behind I, Tonya and showrunner Karin Gist (Our Kind of People) comes MIKE. The 8 part limited series tells the story of the dynamic and controversial life of boxing icon Mike Tyson, starring Trevante Rhodes!

Growing Up Animal – All 10 Episodes – Premiere

“Growing Up” is an innovative hybrid docu-series that explores the challenges, triumphs, and complexities of adolescence through ten compelling coming of age stories. The series uses narrative, experimental, and documentary filmmaking to follow one casted individual, ages 18-22, as they tell their story. They represent a wide range of lived experiences, giving audiences emotionally powerful narratives that offer an engaging look at teenage-hood and the diverse social, familial, and internal obstacles young people face on their path to self-discovery and acceptance. Each 30-minute episode features one young person, or “hero,” and their experience growing up. Each episode is anchored by a deeply personal interview that allows our heroes to walk us through their childhood and teenage years. Alongside these interviews, creative cinematic reenactments help bring their major inflection points to life.

It’s been 29 years since someone lit the Black Flame Candle and resurrected the 17th-century sisters who were executed for practicing witchcraft, and they are looking for revenge.
