‘Green Book’ Cinematographer Boards ‘Star Wars: Skeleton Crew’

Green Book’s director of photography, Sean Porter has boarded the Original Disney+ series “Skeleton Crew.”  The series stars Jude law, is directed by Jon Watts, and comes from executive producers Jon Watts, Christopher Ford, Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni.

Porter has previously worked with Watts on FX’s The Old Man series.  Porter will reportedly helm 4 of the 8 episodes of “Skeleton Crew” while the other four episodes fall under David Klein.  Klein’s credits include The Mandalorian and The Book of Boba Fett.

The show takes place during the post–’Return of the Jedi’ reconstruction that follows the fall of the Empire, the same as ‘The Mandalorian,’ but its plot remains a secret. Inside Lucasfilm, the show is being described as a galactic version of classic Amblin coming-of-age adventure films of the ’80s.

A recent piece of information from The Hollywood Reporter says the budget for the series is around 136 million which is one of the highest costing series for the streaming service.

“Skeleton Crew” has wrapped filming and is expected to release on Disney+ in 2023
