Has ‘The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder’ Been Renewed For Season 3?

Season two of ‘The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder’, a Disney+ Original Series, just landed on Disney+ in February 2023.

The series has proven popular with audiences and critics, and now with the second season coming to a close, many are beginning to wonder if a third season of ‘The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder’ will be coming in the future.

Read on for everything we know about ‘The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder’ season 3.

Will There Be A ‘The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder’ Season 3?

As it stands, Disney hasn’t renewed ‘The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder’ for a season 3.

The good news is that Disney also hasn’t cancelled the show either, so it’s definitely possible a third season might be on the way.

Disney hasn’t confirmed either way if there will be a Big Shot season 3. We think the chances of Big Shot being renewed for season 3 is about 50/50, but will ultimately come down to how season two performs.

The show has received pretty good critic reviews but, most importantly, the series has been popular with audiences, increasing the chances of the series being renewed.

For the first season of ‘The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder, Disney released episodes weekly, and for the second season, all episodes were released on the same day. It’s assumed that the show might have struggled with the weekly model, and Disney is hoping that the “binge” release will help increase engagement for the second season.

That said, other Disney+ shows that have switched from weekly to “binge”, such as Diary of a Future President and ‘The Mysterious Benedict Society, were cancelled. It does seem that Disney makes this change to see if the demand is there for the show, and if it isn’t, it’ll be quickly cancelled.

Disney announced the second season for ‘The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder’ just a few days before the season finale, so it’s possible we might hear some news on a third season soon.

We’ll be sure to update this article when we hear news of ‘The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder’ season 3.

‘The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder’ Season 3 Release Date

As Disney hasn’t confirmed if ‘The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder’ will be returning for a third season, no official release date has been announced. However, we expect that it will be released in February 2024.

There is no pattern on how long it takes for Disney to announce if a show is returning for future seasons. Sometimes shows are renewed before the first season has even aired; sometimes, an announcement is made during the finale episode; or sometimes, it takes months for a renewal announcement.

The previous two seasons have both been released in February, so we expect that if ‘The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder’ is renewed for a third season, it will also likely be released in February 2024 for Black History Month.
