Highlights Coming to Disney+ In December 2022 (UK/IRE)

Here are some featured highlights of what’s coming to Disney+ in the United Kingdom in December 2022.

Highlights include the premieres of the Disney+ Original movie “Diary of A Wimpy Kid: Rodrick Rules” and “Pentatonix: Around the World for the Holidays” on the 2nd, “Night at the Museum: Kahmunrah Rises Again” and “Idina Menzel: Which Way to the Stage?” premiere on the 9th, the two-episode premiere of “National Treasure: Edge of History” launches on the 14th, the Disney Original Documentary “If These Walls Could Sing” begins streaming on the 16th, and “Encanto at the Hollywood Bowl” debuts on the 28th.

The film “Darby and the Dead” releases on the 2nd.

The finale episodes of Season 2 of “The Mysterious Benedict Society” and “The Santa Clauses” release, and new episodes continue to release for “Willow.”

New episodes also continue to release for “Grey’s Anatomy” Season 19, “Station 19” Season 6 and more.

New library titles include National Geographic’s “The Territory,” “The Muppet Christmas Carol” extended version and more.

Our Only Chance

Our Only Chance tracks the ups and downs in the relationship between Candela and Diego, as we follow them on a journey through love, friendship, and the struggle to make their way in the world. The series stars Miguel Bernardeau, one of Spain’s most promising young actors (“Josefina,” “Élite,” “Todo lo otro”) as Diego, and Aitana, the musical sensation of the moment and the most important pop artist in Spain (“Mariposas,” “Formentera,” “Mon Amour – Remix,” “En el coche”), as Candela. This is also Aitana’s acting debut.


Darby and the Dead – Premiere

After suffering a near-death experience as a young girl, Darby Harper (Downs) gains the ability to see dead people. As a result, she becomes introverted and shut off from her high school peers and prefers to spend time counseling lonely spirits who have unfinished business on earth. But all that changes when Capri (Cravalho), the Queen Bee of the school’s most exclusive clique, unexpectedly dies in a freak hair straightening accident, resulting in the obvious cancellation of her upcoming “Sweet 17.” Capri, however, pleads with Darby from the other side to intervene and convince Capri’s friends to proceed with the party as planned. In order to appease the wrath of the undead diva, Darby must emerge from her self-imposed exile and reinvent herself — which along the way allows her to find new joy back in the land of the living.


Diary Of A Wimpy Kid: Rodrick Rules

Greg enters the next grade with his confidence and friendships intact, and an eye on the new girl in town, Holly Hills . But at home, Greg is still at war with his older brother, Rodrick, so their parents have handed down the toughest “punishment” imaginable – forcing the boys to spend quality time with each other.


Pentatonix: Around the World for the Holidays

Superstar a capella group Pentatonix is struggling to find inspiration for their annual holiday album, and the clock is ticking. To make matters worse, their well-intentioned but misguided manager mistakenly locks them in a magic mailroom. But with the help of some Disney magic, we’re soon on a whirlwind tour around the world, discovering holiday traditions and inspiration from Pentatonix fans all around the globe: from Tokyo to Grenada, Ghana to Mexico and Iceland. The fun-filled journey leads the group to realize that wherever we find ourselves, the holidays offer the perfect opportunity to discover how much we have in common and that it really is a small world after all!

The Santa Clauses – Episode 5

Scott Calvin is on the brink of his 65th birthday and realizing that he can’t be Santa forever. He’s suddenly starting to lose his Santa magic, and more importantly, he’s got a family who could benefit from a life in the normal world, especially his two kids who have grown up at the North Pole. With a lot of elves, children, and family to please, Scott sets out to find a suitable replacement Santa while preparing his family for a new adventure in a life south of the pole.

Idina Menzel: Which Way to the Stage? – Premiere

From Disney Branded Television, the intimate and inspirational film follows Tony Award®-winning icon Idina Menzel on her path to realize a lifelong dream: headlining a concert at Madison Square Garden in her hometown of New York City. Featuring never-before-seen performance footage alongside raw and vulnerable interviews, the documentary follows Idina on an intimate journey as she juggles the challenges of being a working mom and wife on a grueling travel schedule while preparing to take the stage at the legendary arena.


Week-end Family Holiday Special

In the holiday special, it’s the first Christmas in France for Emma ( Daphné Coté-Hallé ), Fred ( Eric Judor ) and the girls ( Liona Bordonaro , Midie Dreyfus , Roxane Barazzuol ) decide to cook her a feast, but Emma doesn’t celebrate Christmas in the same way.    This special features a charity show in Quebec and some problems with the in-laws and ex’s.

The Disney+ Original series, “National Treasure: Edge of History” is an expansion of the “National Treasure” movie franchise told from the point of view of a young heroine, Jess (Lisette Olivera), a brilliant and resourceful DREAMer in search of answers about her family — who embarks on the adventure of a lifetime to uncover the truth about the past and save a lost Pan-American treasure.

Jerry Bruckheimer, Cormac & Marianne Wibberley, Jonathan Littman and KristieAnne Reed serve as executive producers on the series alongside Rick Muirragui, who also serves as a writer. Jon Turteltaub is also an executive producer. Mira Nair is directing and executive producing.
