Disney has released a new collection of character posters for the Hulu/Star Original series “How I Met Your Father.” The series is streaming now on Hulu in the United States and will release on Disney+ and Star+ internationally on March 9, 2022 in many countries including Canada, The United Kingdom, Ireland and more.
Check out the new posters below:
“How I Met Your Father” is a sequel to How I Met Your Mother and stars Hilary Duff (Lizzie McGuire) and Chris Lowell (Glow, Promising Young Women).
In “How I Met Your Father,” Duff stars as Sophie, who is telling her son the story of how she met his father, much like Josh Radnor (and Bob Saget’s) Ted Mosby did in the original series. The story starts in 2021 where Sophie and her close-knit group of friends are in the midst of figuring out who they are, what they want out of life, and how to fall in love in the age of dating apps and limitless options.
Cast includes Francia Raisa (Grown-ish), Tom Ainsley (Versailles), Tien Tran (Space Force), Daniel Augustin (David Makes Man), Suraj Sharma (God Friended Me), Josh Peck (Turner & Hooch) and Ashley Reyes ( American Gods). Kim Cattrall will also play the future version of Hilary Duff’s character Sophie, who is telling her son the story of how she met his father.
Pam Fryman, who directed all but twelve episodes of How I Met Your Mother, has been tapped to executive produce and direct the pilot episode.
The show is created by This Is Us producers Isaac Aptaker and Elizabeth Berger. Pam Fryman, Carter Bays and Craig Thomas, creators of the original show, will also executive produce. 20th Television is the studio.
How I Met Your Mother aired on CBS for nine seasons with over 200 episodes from 2005-2014. The series starred Josh Radnor, Cobie Smulders, Neil Patrick Harris, Jason Segel, and Alyson Hannigan. Bob Saget provided the voice of the narrator, an older version of Radnor’s character Ted Mosby.
