Last year, it was announced that a second season of ‘I Am Groot’ was reportedly in the works at Marvel Studios. Season 1 of the animated shorts began streaming on Disney+ on August 10, 2022.
According to The Cosmic Circus, Season 2 of “I Am Groot” will release this fall on Disney+.
The Cosmic Circus have heard from our trusted sources that the second season of I Am Groot will release in the Fall this year. Our sources stated that I Am Grootseason 2 is expected to premiere in early September. This would place the release of season 2 as the next MCU project following Secret Invasion, which is currently airing on Disney+. It would also release prior to the highly anticipated second season of Loki in October and Echo in November.

“I Am Groot” is a collection of five original shorts starring Baby Groot, everyone’s favorite little tree, and featured several new and unusual characters.

Vin Diesel, who is the voice of Groot in the “Guardians of the Galaxy” franchise, voices Baby Groot. The writer/director is Kirsten Lepore, and the executive producers are Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Brad Winderbaum and James Gunn.
James Gunn is no longer involved in the second season since he is now the creative head of DC Studios.
