Starting this Friday, November 12 (Disney+ Day), Disney+ subscribers will be able to experience more of the action at home with IMAX’s expanded aspect ratio on select Marvel movies. This new feature adds 26% more screen picture compared with conventional widescreen format. IMAX says this means that during certain scenes “more of the action is visible on screen, just as the filmmakers intended.”
The IMAX format will be available for 13 Marvel films including:
- Shang-Chi and the Legend of The Ten Rings
- Iron Man
- Guardians of the Galaxy
- Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2
- Captain America: Civil War
- Doctor Strange
- Thor: Ragnarok
- Black Panther
- Avengers: Infinity War
- Ant-Man and the Wasp
- Captain Marvel
- Avengers: Endgame
- Black Widow
