James Spader Rumored to Return to MCU as Ultron

According to a new rumor, James Spader is set to reprise his MCU role as villain Ultron in “Armor Wars.”  Spader last portrayed Ultron in MCU canon during 2015’s Avengers: Age of Ultron.

The news comes from Tales from the Mod Queue which says, James Spader will return as the voice of Ultron for Armor Wars.

As always, since nothing has been confirmed by Marvel or Disney, we will treat this as a rumor for now.

Marvel’s upcoming Secret Invasion series, recently confirmed that the Disney+ miniseries will lead directly into Marvel’s upcoming “Armor Wars” movie.

“Armor Wars” starring Don Cheadle, was first believed to be a Disney+ series but is being developed as a feature film to be released in theaters.

The upcoming movie asks the question: What happens if Tony Stark’s tech falls into the wrong hands?

Star Don Cheadle will reprise his longtime role as Colonel James “Rhodey” Rhodes — aka War Machine in the project.

Yassir Lester (Black Monday) was previously tapped as head writer for the series and remains attached for the film.  A director has not been named yet.

Rumors have suggested that the film could go into production in late 2023.
