Julianne Hough to Replace Tyra Banks as Co-Host for ‘Dancing With the Stars’ Season 32

Last week, it was announced that Supermodel and businesswoman Tyra Banks would no longer host “Dancing With the Stars” after three seasons.

Today, Variety is reporting that Julianne Hough will return to the series as co-host.  Alfonso Ribeiro will return as co-host, and Carrie Ann Inaba, Bruno Tonioli and Derek Hough are set as judges for the upcoming season. Len Goodman exited the show after Season 31.

Hough first appeared on “Dancing With the Stars” as a pro dancer in 2007 and departed the show in 2009.  Hough did come back in 2014 as a judge, before leaving again in 2017. She also appeared as a guest judge on the show in 2021.

“It is such an honor to be rejoining ‘Dancing with the Stars’ as co-host. The show holds such a special place in my heart from the many years and different roles I have had the privilege of being a part of,” Hough said in an exclusive statement to Variety. “The incredible team that brings the ballroom to life every night has been my family for the past 17 years. I am so excited to reunite with Alfonso, Carrie Ann, Bruno, Derek, the unbelievably talented pros, and the amazing cast on the dance floor. The energy is magnetic every time you step foot in to the ballroom and I can’t wait to feel it again — and of course to share it all with the absolute best and most loyal fans — for another exciting season.”

In “Dancing With the Stars,” celebrities are paired with trained ballroom dancers to compete in themed choreographed dance routines that are judged by a panel of renowned ballroom experts.

After an impressive 30 seasons on ABC, “Dancing with the Stars” moved to its new home on Disney+, premiering exclusively in the U.S. and Canada last fall, and making “Dancing with the Stars” the first live series to debut on the streaming service.

“Dancing with the Stars” is produced by BBC Studios Los Angeles Productions.
