The upcoming Disney+ Original series “Agatha: Coven of Chaos” from Marvel Studios will star Kathryn Hahn as her character from WandaVision. Jac Schaefer also returns as executive producer and head writer.
Hahn performed the hit original song “Agatha All Along” in the Disney+ limited series WandaVision and recently teased that there could be “a little song here or there” in the upcoming “Agatha: Coven of Chaos” series. Broadway star Patti LuPone was recently confirmed to join the cast of the series and in a recent interview with TVLine, Hahn said the following:
“Um, her costumes and her nails. They’re fabulous,” Hahn told TVLine. “And who knows, there may be a little song here or there… but no one is saying anything about that — certainly not me!”
Not many other details are known about the project however fellow WandaVision stars will reportedly be returning for the series, Emma Caulfield, who played Sarah Proctor, aka Dottie Jones and Debra Jo Rupp (That ’70s Show, That ’90s Show) who played Mrs. Hart have been confirmed to appear in the upcoming series. Joe Locke will reportedly star as a villain in the series along with Aubrey Plaza. (The White Lotus). Sasheer Zamata (Saturday Night Live), and Eric André have been cast in unknown roles. Additionally, Ali Ahn (Raising Dion). Maria Dizzia (The Staircase), and Patti LuPone will reportedly play witches in the upcoming series.
According to THR, Jac Schaeffer, who is serving as head writer and executive producer on the show, has stepped up to act as a director of multiple episodes. Joining her are Gandja Monteiro (Wednesday), as well as Rachel Goldberg, (Resident Evil).
The outlet also reports David Payton, David Lengel, Asif Ali, Amos Glick, Brian Brightman, and Kate Forbes, all of whom appeared on WandaVision, are returning for the spinoff.
The series begins production Tuesday in Atlanta and will be working under the title of “My Pretty.”
Marvel’s “Agatha: Coven of Chaos” will consist of 9 episodes and is scheduled to release on Disney+ in Winter 2023/2024.
