Last Chance: Disney+ Price Increase Incoming

Last year, Disney announced that a price increase will be coming to Disney+ in the United States on March 26, 2021. This is the first time the streaming service has increased in price during its 18 months of existence.

Disney+ offers thousands of different titles from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, National Geographic, and more, including original content that is made exclusively for the service.

During the investors day conference in December 2020, it was announced that Disney has over 100 titles that are currently in development. There is plenty to look forward too in the short term such as The Mighty Ducks: Game ChangersLokiBig ShotHawkeye and Star Wars: The Book Of Boba Fett just to name a few.

Disney is investing billions of dollars into Disney+ each year so it definitely isn’t a surprise to see a price increase, although the additional $1 is negligible considering the amount of high-quality programming being created.

In the US, a monthly subscription to sign up for Disney Plus costs $6.99; however, this is rising to $7.99 from March 26. Annual membership will also increase from $69.99 to $79.99 on the same date.

To save the maximum amount of money, consider switching to an annual subscription or sign-up if you’ve been thinking about getting Disney+ before March 26 to save around 10 bucks.

The Disney Streaming Bundle, which includes ESPN+ and Hulu, will also increase from $12.99 to $13.99 with ads or $19.99 without ads on March 26.

Disney+ has already increased in price by around $2.00 in many countries in Europe and Canada when Star launched on February 23, 2021.
