In a recent interview with Collider, actor Liam Neeson said he would be willing to reprise his role as Qui-Gon Jinn in the upcoming Obi-Wan Kenobi series for Disney+. When asked directly if he’d be up for appearing as the character in a flashback sequence in the series, Neeson replied with a smile on his face, “Sure, I’d be up for that, yeah.”

Neeson appeared as Qui-Gon Jinn in 1999’s Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace alongside Ewan McGregor who will reprise his role as Obi-Wan in the new mini-series. It was also recently confirmed during Disney’s Investor Day presentation that Hayden Christensen will return as Darth Vader as well. Neeson’s voice was also used in the 2002 sequel Attack of the Clones, and in three episodes of the animated series Star Wars: The Clone Wars in 2019.
The events of the new Obi-Wan series will take place 10 years after Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith. The series is directed by Deborah Chow, who directed episodes of The Mandalorian Season 1. Filming is scheduled to begin in March of 2021.
