‘Loki’ Composer Natalie Holt Rumored To Score ‘Obi-Wan Kenobi’ Disney+ Series

The highly anticipated Disney+ Original series “Obi-Wan Kenobi’ launches with two episodes on May 27, 2022.  Earlier this year, it was confirmed that John Williams will return to the Star Wars franchise to compose the theme for “Obi-Wan Kenobi,” just as the composer did for Solo: A Star Wars Story, although he won’t be scoring the entire series.  A new rumor suggests that Loki composer Natalie Holt has been tasked with that job.

The rumor comes from users on John Williams fansite, JWFan.com, who say the composer of the series is Natalie Holt.  Holt is a multi-award-winning British composer who trained at the Royal Academy of Music in London and the National Film & Television School.  She is best known for her work on Phyllida Lloyd’s Herself as well as Claudia Llosa’s Fever Dream on Netflix. She also worked on the music for Paddington, Loki and the upcoming Batgirl film.

As always, since nothing has been confirmed by Disney or Lucasfilm, we will treat this as a rumor for now.

“Obi-Wan Kenobi’ stars Ewan McGregor, reprising his role as the iconic Jedi Master.

The story begins 10 years after the dramatic events of Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith where Obi-Wan Kenobi faced his greatest defeat—the downfall and corruption of his best friend and Jedi apprentice, Anakin Skywalker, who turned to the dark side as evil Sith Lord Darth Vader.

The series marks the return of Hayden Christensen in the role of Darth Vader. Joining the cast are Moses Ingram, Joel Edgerton, Bonnie Piesse, Kumail Nanjiani, Indira Varma, Rupert Friend, O’Shea Jackson Jr., Sung Kang, Simone Kessell and Benny Safdie.

“Obi-Wan Kenobi” is executive-produced by Kathleen Kennedy, Michelle Rejwan, Deborah Chow, Ewan McGregor and Joby Harold.

“Obi-Wan Kenobi” premieres the first two episodes exclusively on Disney+ on May 27, 2022, with new episodes dropping every Wednesday through June 22, 2022.
