Loki Season 2 Budget Revealed

The budget for the second season of Loki appears to have been disclosed ahead of its Disney+ premiere scheduled for this coming October.

According to Forbes, the upcoming second season of Loki has a total cost of $141.3 million for its six episodes, which translates to approximately $23.5 million per episode.

In comparison, Marvel Studios’ recent streaming venture, Secret Invasion, had an enormous budget of $212 million. This significant expenditure was likely influenced by the series’ extensive reshoot schedule, which spanned over a period of four months.

Lucasfilm’s Andor remains at the peak of the Disney+ production budget hierarchy. The twelve-episode first season reportedly cost Disney a staggering $250 million, which breaks down to around $20.8 million per episode.

Marvel Studios’ “Loki” Season 2 begins streaming on October 6, exclusively on Disney+.  The first season of “Loki” is the most watched Marvel Studios series on the streaming service.

“Loki” Season 2 picks up in the aftermath of the shocking season finale when Loki finds himself in a battle for the soul of the Time Variance Authority. Along with Mobius, Hunter B-15, and a team of new and returning characters, Loki navigates an ever-expanding and increasingly dangerous Multiverse in search of Sylvie, Judge Renslayer, Miss Minutes, and the truth of what it means to possess free will and glorious purpose.

The series stars Tom Hiddleston, Sophia Di Martino, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Wunmi Mosaku, Eugene Cordero, Rafael Casal, Tara Strong, Kate Dickie, Liz Carr, Neil Ellice, with Jonathan Majors, Ke Huy Quan and Owen Wilson.
