‘Loki Season 2’ Filming Timeline Confirmed

Disney announced that Marvel’s “Loki” series would return to Disney+ for a second season back in July. The news was confirmed midway through the end credits of the Season 1 finale episode.

Marvel Studios’ “Loki” features the God of Mischief as he steps out of his brother’s shadow in a new series that takes place after the events of “Avengers: Endgame.” Tom Hiddleston returns as the title character, joined by Owen Wilson, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Sophia Di Martino, Wunmi Mosaku and Richard E. Grant. Kate Herron directs “Loki,” and Michael Waldron is head writer.

So far very few details have been revealed about Loki season 2. However, in December, The Cosmic Circus reported that prep will begin in February, with filming expected to commence in June 2022 until the end of the year. Casting website Backstage has also said that filming will begin this summer, confirming the scoop from The Cosmic Circus.

No release date has been given for Loki season 2, but it’s expected we’ll see it arrive on Disney+ sometime in 2023.
