Marvel Studios’ ‘Daredevil: Born Again’ Announced

Today during the Marvel Studios panel at San Diego Comic-Con, Kevin Feige, President of Marvel Studios, announced that  Marvel Studios’ “Daredevil: Born Again” an Original series starring Charlie Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio, will be coming to Disney+ in Spring 2024.

Ever since Charlie Cox made his return as Matthew Murdock/Daredevil in Spider-Man: No Way Home, fans have been eagerly anticipating the character to return in other Marvel projects or for a revival of the original series.

Cox originally played Daredevil in the Marvel series on Netflix from 2015 to 2018.  He also appeared in the spinoff series, The Defenders. Most recently his character had a cameo appearance in Marvel’s Spider-Man: No Way Home.

Vincent D’Onofrio who played Wilson Fisk in the original “Daredevil” series just recently reprised his role as Kingpin, in the Disney+ series Hawkeye.  The two will also reprise their roles in the upcoming “Echo” series on Disney+ which is set to premiere in Summer 2023.

According to Variety, Matt Corman and Chris Ord are attached to write and executive produce.

Corman and Ord co-created the USA Network series Covert Affairs starring Piper Perabo and Christopher Gorham. The show aired for five seasons between 2010 and 2014.  Most recently they worked as executive producers and co-showrunners on the NBC drama shows The Enemy Within and The Brave as well as The CW series Containment.

The series will reportedly consist of 18 episodes.
