Marvel Studios released the teaser trailer for “Thor: Love and Thunder” yesterday and quickly achieved an impressive 209M views within 24 hours.

The number makes the teaser the fourth-most viewed Marvel trailer in 24 hours. For comparison, Spider-Man: No Way Home is the current record holder at 355.5 million global views during its first 24 hours, Avengers: Endgame had 289 million views, and Avengers: Infinity War saw 230 million views during its first 24 hours.
“Thor: Love and Thunder” finds Thor on a journey unlike anything he’s ever faced – a quest for inner peace. But his retirement is interrupted by a galactic killer known as Gorr the God Butcher, who seeks the extinction of the gods. To combat the threat, Thor enlists the help of King Valkyrie, Korg and ex-girlfriend Jane Foster, who – to Thor’s surprise – inexplicably wields his magical hammer, Mjolnir, as the Mighty Thor.
The film stars Chris Hemsworth, Tessa Thompson, Natalie Portman, Christian Bale, Chris Pratt, Jaimie Alexander, Pom Klementieff, Dave Bautista, Karen Gillan, Sean Gunn, Jeff Goldblum, and Vin Diesel. Returning director Taika Waititi is back to helm “Thor: Love and Thunder”, and the film is produced by Kevin Feige and Brad Winderbaum.
Michael Giacchino will be providing the score for “Thor: Love and Thunder” which releases in theaters on July 8, 2022.
