During the Marvel Studios panel at San Diego Comic-Con last July, Kevin Feige, President of Marvel Studios announced that Marvel’s “Agatha: Coven of Chaos” will arrive on Disney+ in Winter 2023. The series was previously titled “Agatha: House of Harkness.”
The Disney+ Original series will star Kathryn Hahn as her character from WandaVision. Jac Schaefer returns as executive producer and head writer.
According to a new report, the upcoming show will begin production next month, which is earlier than expected. Previous reports claimed the series was eyeing a production start from January to May 2023.
The news comes from Hahn who plays the titular witch in the series. In an interview with Brooke McDonald on the red carpet of the Chicago Film Festival, Hahn reported that the series will begin shooting in about a month. You can see what the actress said below:
“It’s nothing I could have ever dreamed of, was to be asked to play a centuries-old witch that no one had ever heard of. And then all of a sudden, cut to a spin-off show, which is just like, ‘What?’ So, it’s very, very exciting. We’re in the middle of getting the Coven ready, and it’s going to be very delicious. I’m very excited for people to see that. We start shooting in about a month.”
Not many other details are known about the project however a fellow WandaVision star will reportedly be returning for the series. Emma Caulfield, who played Sarah Proctor, aka Dottie Jones in WandaVision, recently told Vanity Fair that she will be reprising her role in “Agatha: Coven of Chaos.”
The series will be working under the title of “My Pretty.”
