Marvel’s ‘Blade’ Filming Date Reportedly Revealed

According to a new report, Marvel’s “Blade” reboot may start production earlier than expected.  The film was originally slated to begin filming last fall however production issues behind the scenes caused production to be delayed and the film’s theatrical release date was pushed back 10 months.  According to industry insider Daniel Richtman, the upcoming “Blade” movie is aiming to start production on May 30th.

As always, since nothing has been announced by Marvel or Disney, we will treat this as a rumor for now.

Mahershala Ali will play the iconic vampire hunter.  Delroy Lindo (The Harder They Fall, Da 5 Bloods) and Aaron Pierre (M. Night Shyamalan’s Old) also star.  Additionally, Milan Ray (The Wonder Years) has recently joined the cast along with Anthony Starr (The Boys) who will reportedly play the villain.

Yann Demange has been tapped to helm the film and Michael Starrbury is attached to write a new script.

Marvel Studios CEO Kevin Feige is producing.

Marvel’s “Blade” is currently scheduled to hit theaters on September 6, 2024.
